Meagan's Dayhome! (formerly MacDonald Family Dayhome)
After wanting to return to work for some extra income, but discovering a major lack of affordable childcare in the area would prevent me from doing so, I decided that there was a better option.
I love being a stay-at-home-mom and used to run a dayhome before I had my second child (but mainly before I had my first), so I decided what better job is there, than to be able to stay at home and look after the most important people in the world...Kids! (And as a bonus, I get to spend my days with my kids too! )
I think it is important that child care before affordable for all families, not just high-income families. Who wants to work just to pay a baby-sitter? I offer low rates, and awesome discounts for families with more than one child.
But more importantly than cost, is quality. I love to work with children. They amaze me every day and make every moment of the time you spend with them exciting (even if it isn't always for the best reason, but we have all been there). I treat all children in my care as if they were my own. I believe in learning through play, planned activities and having fun together!
I currently have 1 opening for a child 2 years old or younger, and a number of spots available for children ages 3 and up.
